We provide both equity and debt to lower middle market healthcare businesses for growth, acquisitions, recapitalization, or management buyouts. This can take the form of equity (preferred or common) or debt (convertible, mezzanine, 2nd lien, or unitranche) depending on the needs of the business. Our goal is to truly partner with healthcare providers and founding doctors, providing not just capital but also strategic advice and operational tools that take companies to the next level.
HCDP has been successful in developing and executing a tailored value creation plan, in partnership with dentists of each practices, that typically emphasizes an appropriate investment in infrastructure followed by an aggressive organic and acquisition growth strategy.
In some cases Haworth Capital along with its co-sponsors will control the firm’s Board, but in other cases majority control will stay with the founder doctors. We target Lower Middle Market dental companies with growth potential and generally less than $10 million of EBITDA. Sectors of interest include healthcare services, dental service organizations, healthcare financial services, and direct to consumer clear aligner businesses.
